深圳这座改革开放的先锋之城创造了无数个中国第一，大芬油画村就是其中之一。目前大芬已成为中国文化产业发展的领先示范区，广东省美术部落集群的代表性基地，深圳十大特色文化街区之一。在国家“一带一路”及粤港澳大湾区的发展目标下，大芬推出“中国大芬国际油画双年展”这一全新的文化品牌。
首届中国大芬国际油画双年展（简称大芬双年展）是一个注重学术性、艺术性的国际化高端展览，本展览将在征集作品的风格上推崇创意、彰显个性，期待更多观念更新、技艺精良的作品能够入选展览，加强双年展的学术性。希望通过两年一届的大芬双年展，能让大芬成为中国了解世界，世界了解中国的平台和窗口，增进世界各国艺术家的交流。

“中国大芬国际油画双年展”地处深圳特区大芬这个特殊的艺术胜地。这一全新的品牌展览将为各国带来文化意识的创新与发展，达到“和谐共处”、“多元融合”、“互助双赢”的目的。

五、参展艺术家与作品要求
大芬双年展参展作品来自世界五大洲，遴选各参展国具有影响力的艺术家及其代表作品。
1、大芬双年展的国内外参展作者为自由投稿；在全世界范围内征集。
2、参展作品应为近3年来创作的油画作品，应注重美学品位和艺术质量。如入选作品已被代理或收藏，由作者负责与代理或收藏方进行具体沟通。如沟通未果，导致无法来深展览，将视为自动放弃入选资格。作者不得更换入选作品。
3、油画作品尺寸纵、宽各边不小于1m(不含外框),邮寄打包后木箱尺寸各边不大于2.5m。包装后重量不要超过100kg,内外框需坚固。
4、作品由作者自行装框,如有外框须坚固牢靠,作品内外框上不应有钉子及锐物外露;如有镜框不应使用玻璃镜面,可选用有机玻璃或透明塑料板。
5、组委会有权拒绝与作品信息表不符，超尺寸及重量，散发有害气体，无法运输，无法布展或被认为对观众有危险的作品原件入展。
6、已入选作品一旦被发现涉及有关历史遗留、国际政治等敏感问题,组委会任何时候都有权立即取消其在该展中的入选、展览及出版、参会等所有资格。相关事宜的解释权归组委会。
六、参展办法及有关日程安排
1、投稿时间：即日起至2018年5月15日。
2、作品评选：大芬双年展采用网上报名，参展作者需登录大芬双年展官网根据报名要求提交资料完成报名程序（网址http://dfbiennale.artron.net/）。每位作者提交1幅作品的JPG格式电子版高清图片(不小于5MB，作者个人照片电子版不小于1MB)并须填写统一网址上的作品信息登记表。表格填写务必清楚，不漏项，报送材料逾期将不被接受。请不要邮寄照片或原作，由评审委员会对国内外图片作品进行评审,所有参选资料将会存档。
3、评选结果：评审委员会依据作品照片对所有报送作品进行评选，评选结果将在2018年6月大芬双年展官网公布。同时,组委会将通知入选作者,明确双方的责任、权利和义务。
4、无须交纳报名及参展费。
5、组委会保留以下权利：自由展示参展作品，有权对参展作品进行自由拍照并公开免费使用该照片，使用作者在作品信息登记表上的个人信息,用于展览的国内外宣传、画册等公开出版及开发大芬双年展纪念品等影像复制权，并可以在相关媒体、网络长期刊载作品。
6、凡送作品参评、参展作者、应视为已确认并遵守征稿通知的各项规定。
七、参展作品包装、运输与保险
1、组委会负担境外参展作品（由作品所在国家至深圳）的往返运输费,国内参展作品组委会只负担退件费用。
2、国内外入选作品往返运输中的投保费由参展作者自行承担；未投保的作品，组委会拒绝承运；作品在展览期间的保险由组委会统一投保。
3、组委会以网站公告和邮件形式及时告知境外作者已确定承运的运输代理公司。运输代理公司安排其工作人员及时跟境外作者取得联系。2018年7月10日之前,境外作者须按要求将参展作品妥善包装好并置于熏蒸后的包装箱中交给组委会指定的运输代理,包装箱外需写清组委会告知的参展编号,为了作品入境能顺利清关,境外入选作品如使用原木作为包装材料(包括所有用于包装作品的材料,如包装箱,垫木,楔子等),需要对原木材料进行熏蒸处理,并至少在材料两面打上本国IPPC(国际保护植物公约组织)标识。包装费作者自理,运输代理负责上门取件。
2018年8月25日之前,国内作者须将包装好的参展作品寄至组委会指定地点,包装箱外需写清组委会告知的参展编号,须是“门”到“门”的运输性质,作者自行承担作品来深圳运费,回程运费由组委会承担。
入选作者需按照入选通知将对应一致的作品按时起运或交给运输代理,不能擅自更换作品,否则组委会有权拒绝接收。如入选作品不能按时交给代理或运至组委会指定地点,组委会对在此情况下造成该作品无法展示的后果不承担任何责任。
未入选作品被作者自行运至组委会或展场的,组委会概不接收,且不承担该作品的代管、退件等任何义务。
4、所有参展作品如因自行包装不善导致在运输过程中受损,因自身不稳定或不牢固发生破损、脱落、变形及其他变化,或在自行运输过程中使作品受损,组委会将及时通知作者,但不承担任何责任。
5、参展作品由组委会负责退件。国外入选作品未通过指定运输代理而送至组委会的,组委会不负责退件,确需组委会退件的,需在2018年8月25日前与组委会商议。
八、作者待遇
1、公开出版彩色精印《首届中国大芬国际油画双年展作品集》，除所有参展作品外，还将收入作者简介、作品说明等文字内容。每位参展作者获赠一本 。
2、组委会邀请部分艺术家来深圳出席大芬双年展开幕式及相关会议，并承担在深圳的相关食宿费用。
3、由评选委员会确定拟收藏的作品，再由大芬美术馆和参展艺术家双方洽谈具体收藏意向。每件收藏作品的作者将获得一定的收藏费（含税10万元人民币）和颁发的收藏证书。
4、入选作品获得组委会颁发的大芬双年展入选证书。
5、入选双年展的国内作品（60件），其作者具备申请成为中国美协会员的一次条件。
九、捐赠作品:
组委会接受无偿自由捐赠,艺术家如自愿捐赠参展作品,请在作品登记表一栏标注,捐赠作品需为参展作品原件,组委会将向捐赠艺术家颁发捐赠证书,并在适当时候举办捐赠作品展。
十、座谈会及文献集
1、展览开幕后举办为期1天的同声传译（英文）国际座谈会。邀请策划委员和中外参展作者及海内外有影响的批评家、策展人及相关学者参加。
2、议题围绕展览主题，如“开放与融合”。

Shenzhen, the pioneer city of the reform and opening-up, has created a number of China’s first, and Dafen oil painting village is one of them. At present, Dafen has become the leading demonstration zone for the development of China’s cultural industry, the representative foundation of Guangdong Province’s art tribal cluster, one of top ten characteristic cultural blocks in Shenzhen. Under the development goals of national “The Belt and Road” and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Dafen continues to launch the new cultural brand “Dafen International Oil Painting Biennale, China”.
The 1st Dafen International Oil Painting Biennale, China 2018（The 1st Dafen Biennale for short）is an international and high-end exhibition that focuses on the academic and artistic. We will admire innovation and highlight personality in the style of selecting works, and are looking forward to more innovative and excellent works. At the same time, a thematic invitational exhibition will be held to enhance the academic level of the Biennale. We hope that through the International Oil Painting Biennale，Dafen will become a platform and window for the mutual understanding between China and the world, so as to enhance the artist exchanges between the countries worldwide.

“Dafen International Oil Painting Biennale” is located in the special artistic holy land of DaFen, Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. This new exhibition brand will bring innovation and development of awareness for culture of each nation, achieve the objective of “harmonious coexistence”, “multiple integration”, and “mutual winning”.

V. Requirements for Participating Artists and Works
The participating works of Dafen Biennale are expected to come from all over the world, the influential artists and their representative works will be selected from the participating countries.
1. Works of the exhibitors from home and abroad for Dafeng Biennale Exhibition can be submitted freely and collected all over the world;
2. The participating works should be oil paintings created in recent 3 years, and should focus on aesthetic taste and artistic quality. If the participating works have been agented or collected, the artist should be responsible for the specific communication with the agent or the collector. If the communication is failed and then leads to the artist could not come to Shenzhen and take part in exhibition, it will be deemed as the artist automatically waives the eligibility criteria. The artist should not change the participating works.
3. The length and width of oil painting works should be no less than 1m (excluding the outer frame), and each side length of wooden box should be no more than 2.5m after post packed. The packaged weight should not exceed to 100 kg, and the inner and outer frames should be firm.
4. The participating works should be framed by the artist. If the participating works have outer frame, it must be solid and reliable, and should not have nails and exposed sharp objects. It is not recommended to use iron frame. If the participating works have mirror frame, it should not use glass mirror and could use plexiglass or transparent plastic board.
5.The organizing committee has the right to refuse the participating works which are not in accordance with the forms submitted by artists or which are oversize and overweight ,smelly,or difficult to transport and arrange for exhibition ,or dangerous to the visitors.
6. Once the selected work is found to involve sensitive issues which related to historical remnants and international politics, the organizing committee should have the right to immediately cancel all the qualifications about it, such as selection, exhibition, and participation in the exhibition. The organizing committee reserves right of final interpretation of related issues.
Ⅵ. Participating Method and Relevant Schedule
1. Contribution time: Since now until May 15th,2018.
2. The preliminary evaluation: the Biennale will adopt the online registration, and the participating artist should log on the website and submit the information to complete the registration according to the requirements (website: http://dfbiennale.artron.net/). Each participating artist need to submit JPG format HD images of one work ( the image should be no less than 5MB, and the electronic edition of artist personal photo should be no less than 1MB) and is required to complete the unified Registration form of Works which are provided by official website. Please do not post photos or original works. The judge committee will review domestic and foreign image works. All participating information will be archived.
3. The results of preliminary evaluation: The judge committee will select the works based on the photos of works and the results will be issued at the official website of the Dafen Biennale (http://dfbiennale.artron.net/) in Jun.,2018. At the same time, the Organizing Committee will notify the selected artists to clarify the responsibilities, rights and obligations of both parties.
4. Registration and participation fee is not required.
5. The Organizing Committee reserves the rights as below: Freely exhibit the specially invited and selected works and have the right to take photos of the works freely and use the photos openly free of charge, use the artist personal information listed in Registration Form of Works for domestic and foreign propagandizing exhibition, prepare album of paintings etc. publication; develop the reproduction rights of biennale souvenirs and other images of the works, and can publish the works in the relevant media, networks for long term.
6. All the exhibitors and participants sending works for this exhibition should be deemed to have confirmed and complied with the requirements of the notice.
VII． Packaging, Transportation and insurance of Participating works
1. The Organizing Committee covers the cost of round-trip transportation for oversea participating works (the country in which the works are located — Shenzhen).For domestic participating works we vover only the returning cost.
2.The participating artists should cover the cost of round-trip insurance of transportation by themselves for their works. The Organizing Committee will refuse to accept for carriage of uninsured works, and will be responsible for the insurance of the participating works during exhibition.
3.The Organizing Committee will inform the foreign artists the confirmed carrier agency by website announcements and e-mail in time. The carrier agency will arrange their staff to contact with foreign artists in a timely manner. The foreign artists should properly pack participating works as required ，and put them in fumigated box to designated carrier agency of the Organizing Committee ，and clearly mark the designated exhibiting number on the outside of the packages before July 10th, 2018. In order to complete customs clearance smoothly, if the packaging material of foreign participating works is raw wood (including all materials used for packaging works such as crates, mats and wedges, etc.), the raw wood must be fumigated, and the artists are required to mark the national IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention) logos on both side of packaging material at least. In addition, the artist should bear the cost of packaging, and the carrier agency will responsible for pick up.
The domestic artist should post the packed participating works to the designated location of Organizing Committee and clearly write the designated exhibiting number on the outside of the package box before Aug. 25th, 2018. The post must be “door” to “door”. The freight of posting to Shenzhen of works should be bore by domestic artist, and the freight of return will be bore by the Organizing Committee.
Selected participants should ship the corresponding works or deliver them to the carrier agency in time, and should not replace works without permission, otherwise the Organizing Committee has the right to refuse it. If participating works can not be delivered to carrier agency or shipped to the designated place in time, the Organizing Committee will not be responsible for the consequences that raised from the works can not be exhibited in this case.
The Organizing Committee will not accept any unselected works which have been shipped to the Organizing Committee or exhibition hall by artist, and will not undertake any obligation of hosting or returning unselected works.
4. For any participating works damaged during transportation due to packing poorly, or broke, shed, deformed or occurred other change due to instability or weakness, or damaged in the process of transportation at artist’s own risk, the Organizing Committee will notify the artist in time, and will not take any responsibility of it.
5. The Organizing Committee will be responsible for returning the participating works. If the foreign works which have sent by the undesignated carrier agency, the Organizing Committee will not be responsible for returning their works. If those works do need to be returned, the artist should negotiate with the Organizing Committee before Aug.25, 2018.
VIII. The treatment of artist
1. Each participating artist will receive a copy of the “The Collection of 1stDafen International Oil Painting Biennale, China”. The Collection will be public color printed and included all participating works, the introductions of artists, work descriptions and other related text content.
2. The Organizing Committee will invite some artists coming Shenzhen, to attend the opening ceremony of the Dafen Biennale and related meetings. The expense of accommodation in Shenzhen of being invited artists will be bore by the Organizing Committee.
3. The Dafen Art Museum will discuss the specific collecting intention with the participating artists for the proposal collecting works. The artist of each collecting work will receive proper collection fee (RMB 100,000 including tax) and a collection certification issued by the Organizing Committee.
4. The participating artists will receive Dafen Biennale Participating certificate which be awarded by the Organizing Committee.
5.For the domestic participating works (total 60 pieces), the artists will have the chance of application to become a member of China Artists Association.
IX. Works for donation:
The organizing committee accepts free donations. Artists who are willing to donate exhibition works voluntarily should mark in the column of the work registration form. The donated works should be the exhibition originals. The organizing committee will issue certificates to the artists who donate their works and hold donation exhibition in due time.
X. symposium and archive
1. The Organizing Committee will hold a one day simultaneous interpretation (English) International symposium and invite members of the Planning Committee, domestic and foreign participating artists and influential critics, curators and related scholars to attend this symposium.
2. The topics of the symposium will be rounded the exhibition theme, for example“opening-up and integration”etc.
